We’re pleased to inform you that the 224 Army Cadet Unit at HMAS Harman is now accepting Expressions of Interest (EOI) for young Australians seeking to develop their leadership potential and life skills in Semester Two 2024.

The Australian Army Cadets is a leading national youth development program that empowers young people to reach their full potential. As a cadet, you will participate in challenging and rewarding activities to foster teamwork, resilience, self-discipline, and community spirit.

Opportunities at 224 Army Cadet Unit

Cadets at HMAS Harman will have the opportunity to engage in:

  • Practical leadership training
  • Navigation and fieldcraft exercises
  • Marksmanship instruction
  • Adventure training (including camps and expeditions)
  • Community service projects

Due to high demand, we encourage you to submit your EOI promptly, as places are limited and will be allocated as applications are received.

Upon submission of your EOI, our experienced staff will review your application. Successful candidates will be contacted for further steps in the enrollment process. If vacancies become available due to withdrawals, additional applicants may be considered.

Note: If you receive an error message indicating that the selected unit or organisation doesn’t exist, EOIs have closed.

Eligibility: The minimum age for cadet membership is 12, provided the applicant will turn 13 in the calendar year of their enrolment. The maximum age for a cadet enrolment is their 17th birthday. Cadets age out of the program at the end of the calendar year of their 18th birthday.
