The cadet journey is a remarkable odyssey, and mine has been a story of growth, achievement, and an enduring commitment to the values of the Australian Army Cadets (AAC).
As the ADF Liaison Officer to 24 AAC BN, I often reflect on the path that led me here. My military journey began in 2004 at 335 Squadron, RAAF Williamtown, as a member of the Australian Air Force Cadets (AAFC), a pivotal experience that set the foundation for my future in the Australian Defence Force.
The 224 and 241 Army Cadet Units cadets recently marked a significant milestone in their annual training calendar – the end-of-year parade held at the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA).
We are thrilled to congratulate our newest members who have successfully completed their recruit course, marking a significant milestone in their journey with the 224 Army Cadet Unit.
Every year, the Annual Field Exercise (AFX) marks a high point in the training calendar for the Australian Army Cadets, and the cadets of our unit. This year, despite being scaled back, our AFX at the Majura Training Area was a resounding success.
ANZAC Day is not just a date on the calendar; it is a day imbued with deep national significance, commemorating the sacrifices of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps during World War I and in conflicts since.
